Printing Improvements

Some of you may be wondering what the point of the Print This Item button is. After all, when clicking on it, the only discernible result is that a "printing dialog" pops open. Essentially it seems that clicking the print button in you browser and clicking our print button are equivalent.

Indeed, this is correct. There is no actual difference between using your browser's print button or using ours. We simply placed the button there to highlight a new feature in this version of Brochos.com: All item pages are automatically formatted into a "printable version" when printing. There is no need to go to a printer-friendly version of the page.

This feature is enabled by default in practically all of the latest browsers. When printing, everything will disappear except the Brochos.com logo, title, picture (if available), article, and last updated date.

We hope you enjoy this feature,

Launched... But Not Perfect

Yes! We launched the new version. While we finished most of it, it's still not perfect. Most notably, we still have not finished our item transfer, Kevias Seudah tags have not been included, and one or two links will fail...

We hope to post again in one or two days, when we complete everything.

Enjoy,

About our New Source System

As part of our new version we will be launching a source (reference) system. Simply put, every item that we add to our database will be required to have a reference to our source for that particular item.
By clicking on the source, you will be redirected to a page containing additional information about that source, such as, where you can access it, it's ISBN number (if applicable), it's author and/or publisher, etc.
Why we set this up:
Many of our emails we received on a regular basis all had the same questions "Who are you? How can we be sure that you are reliable? Are you a Rabbi? Where do you get all this information from?" Well this is our response: You don't necessarily have to trust us, simply trust our sources. Everything on our site can easily be checked for accuracy. Who we are does not make a difference.
This is not to say that the old version of our site was inaccurate. To the contrary, everything on our old site also had sources. The difference, however, is that know every single item specifically states where we got it from. There is no more confusion.
We hope you will enjoy this feature,

New Blog for Version 2

We decided that it was best to start a "fresh" blog for our launch of Brochos.com version 2. All previous posts were deleted.

Just a few days left until the launch.

See you then,
